Berglind graduated as a fashion designer from IUA (Iceland University of the Arts) in 2021. In her graduation collection “Þráðhyggja” she focused on giving discarded polyester satin new life by de-weaving it, combing it and then spin or felt new material for further use. Her post graduation projects have been focused on finding various ways to recycle the existing discarded fabrics. After graduation she has received grants from the Student Innovation Fund and the Icelandic Design Fund to continue her research in recycling fabric. Recently she’s been focused on making collections in knit from scrap yarn as well as doing commission work.
Studio located in HlemmurHaus, Laugavegur 114, 105 Reykjavík, Iceland.
